That’s what -copy does.-bit-identical was added primarily so you can use third-party tools like rsync to seed or maintain the copy to force the chunk filenames and the hashes they’re encrypted with to be the same as the ones stored in the encrypted config file. With my new Linux machine, I am using the web version of Duplicacy. Just to clarify -bit-identical isn’t required to make it compatible with the original storage. On Mac OS X it is Keychain, and on Linux it is gnome-keyring. ![]() If a secret vault service is available, Duplicacy will store passwords/keys entered by the user in such a secret vault and later retrieve them when needed. ![]() Hopefully the DrivePool devs can put their finger on why both OpenSSH implementations don’t play ball. o Added debug logging in DH algorithm crypto initialization for better. Duplicacy will attempt to retrieve in three ways the storage password and the storage-specific access tokens/keys. There’d be no harm in placing data on a disk used for DrivePool, but outside the actual pool - it will just balance based on free disk space anyway. As 1) I don’t want backups to be split over multiple disks, and 2) I use the extra space on a 10TB SnapRAID parity partition, since my biggest data drive is only 5TB. ![]() I know that seems hacky, but even on my DrivePool-over-network-share, I’ve set a rule to place all backups on one physical disk. Resilio or rsync of course won’t allow you to directly backup, without an intermediary local storage, but if that’s the plan, have you tried Syncthing instead?Īnother alternative is to backup to a non-DrivePool location - even one that is designated to a DrivePool. Is there a reason you’re not using plain old network share? I assume by the alternatives you’ve gone over, the two boxes aren’t on the same network?.
